Personal Wealth

I explored the topic of wealth through what people personally see as wealth within their life and not exploring the monetary side of wealth, but to objects and possesions that people hold close to them. This was explored through a series of portraits inspired by vanitas, momento mori and dutch portraiture paintings which usually depict life and wealth through still life but also portraiture with people standing or being sat, surrounded by their successes and achievments. My images have been similar style but looking less at wealth/riches, achievment and pleasures and instead to what people value and hold close to them and what things and personal possesions people would consider as wealth for example necessary everyday items that we cant live without or things we can perhaps live without but have value personally through memorial or nostalgic standpoints or even hobbies and to what makes us unique.
